BIOGRAPHY
Jazarri Smith aka Jazzy studied music at University of California at Riverside and Riverside Community College. Born in Compton, Ca and raised in Bellflower, CA, he quickly became known for his writing. Passing out his poetry to his peers in school earned him the respect among many. At 17, Jazzy moved to North Carolina, where he found his new love for music after going to church and being inspired by the praise and worship leader. His poetry and spoken word quickly evolved into songs. He then decided after 1 year of working with the church’s music ministry that music, was in fact, what we he wanted to do; so he moved back to California to pursue his new passion. He graduated high school in 2005 and found “These Guys” in his college years and has enjoyed his adventure with them thus far.
Josh Downtain studied music at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. Born in Los Angeles, Ca and raised in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. He has always been known for his ability to do celebrity impersonations. Josh is also responsible for many of the arrangements “These Guys” have performed around the world. He also was apart of the award winning Barbershop Chorus, “The Westminister Chorus.” He sang in various groups at his college for 2 years, when he and some friends decided that they wanted to form their own group outside of the college. In 2004, they came up with the group called “These Guys.”  They put up posters at neighboring colleges asking for other talented guys to audition and the group grew into a massive 12 guy group.  Throughout the years, the group slimmed down to the amazing quartet that remains today. Josh is looking forward to his journey with “These Guys.”
Erik Carlson studied music at Fullerton College in Fullerton, Ca. Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, he quickly became known for his smooth vocals. Having his first live performance at the age 6, he was always destined to take the stage. Being nurtured and motivated by his elementary school choir instructor, he joined the San Francisco Boys Chorus and has continued doing music ever since. Erik recorded his first solo EP “Erik Carlson” in 2007 and would continued to perform as a solo artist for the next 3 years. Going to college with Thomas Nanthavongdouangsy, he was introduced to “These Guys.” He began singing with them in 2011 and is excited about what the future has in store.
Thomas Nanthavongdouangsy studied music and music theatre at Fullerton College in Fullerton, Ca and the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma. He became known for his big personality and his crazy antics. He started singing his senior year of high school  and began acting in his college years. He has played the roles of Roger in Grease, Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls, and Jesus/Goatman in Reefer Madness. Thomas found “These Guys” in 2004 and sang with them for 2 years until he moved away from California to Dallas to further his education. He then reconnected with them in 2011 and is ready to take over the world with “These Guys.”
