Over the past 6 years the Groovin’ High Orchestra has become the premier swing dance band in Las Vegas. Musically, the objective of the band is to honor the forefathers of America’s only art form. They do just that with respect, class, and adding a splash of modernity and youthful energy in an attempt to completely amaze and max out their audience’s capacity of entertainment. In fact, the band has been known to excite their audiences so much that they do require an emergency transportation vehicle on stand-by during their performances.

The details of Chandler Judkins’ past are sketchy at best. All that is known for sure is that he has been leading bands in Vegas for the past 8 years doing over 100 bookings a year, gaining experience playing and touring with such notables as Wayne Newton (5 years), Earl Turner, and being Musical Director for Lani Misalucha. Right or wrong, he never plays without the audience being able to actually witness his heart protruding through the bell of his trumpet.

The details of the band are even sketchier – The musicians are unable to provide social security numbers and don’t come up on a Google search. The one thing for sure is that they are the absolute best at what they do (at least in this price range…sorry, old joke). All of these suspects are full time professional musicians with approximately 200 years of combined experience (they had to be, they dropped out of college to go on the road).

With four horns and a driving rhythm section, this 8 piece aggregation is capable of sounding like a big band but has the stage presence of a Top 40 band. They incorporate choreography, audience participation, and excessive banter into their act. Audiences fall in love with the lead singers, Kenny and Noybel, whose on stage chemistry is unquenchable. Their experience and vocal proficiency is uncanny and they will have you thinking of them well after the gig…well, at least one of them.
